Art and music have not just been a part of my life; they've shaped my very essence. My journey into the transformative power of art began with the piano, through which I discovered that art is the most formidable force in my being. Participating in piano competitions across Europe was not just a showcase of skill but a gateway to understanding the diverse mosaic of art that spans the continent.
My academic pursuits at Bard College were a journey of broadening horizons. Here, I not only expanded my geographical scope of art beyond European traditions—diving into the history of Islamic Art, admiring murals in South America, and exploring contemporary American trends—but also deepened my understanding of art's universal language. Working towards my degree in Art History, I learned to decipher the language of visual arts, witnessing how societies have expressed their worldviews and self-understandings through visual creations. This experience cemented my belief that art is a mirror reflecting our collective experiences through time.
At the Manhattan School of Music, I lived the full spectrum of a concert pianist's life, balancing the rigors of academic studies with the demands of rehearsals, performances, and teaching. Immersing myself in the world's finest performances, from Broadway, Opera and Ballet to contemporary shows, I not only fulfilled my artistic cravings but also realized a pivotal truth about myself: my passion for nurturing and caring for others. This realization, combined with my commitment to advocate for artistic quality and creative originality, steered my career towards management and production.
Having graduated from UNCSA, I now reside in New York, embarking on my career in arts and entertainment management and producing. At UNCSA, I led projects in dance, music, and drama, focusing on merging classical arts with modern technologies, creating a dialogue between our past and present. This role allowed me to advocate for the arts, engage communities, and champion social causes through artistic expression. There's an indescribable joy in seeing how my work catalyzes positive change within communities, reaffirming my belief in the power of art to transform lives. My journey from a pianist to an advocate for the arts is a testament to art's enduring impact, reminding me daily of its significance in my life and the world at large.
